Re:Vault OS is the desktop side of Re:Vault. Everything Re:Vault does runs here in windows you can move, snap, tile and take fullscreen: browsing, study tools, the game library and Linux. Prefer tabs? Classic Re:Vault is one click away, and both share the same saved data.
A familiar workspace
A panel, a searchable launcher, notifications, virtual desktops and resizable windows. Pick glass or flat themes, high contrast, wallpapers, your accent colour and the panel position, and make it yours.
Study tools, files and a terminal
Open Re:Vault's study tools (flashcards, citations, grade and GPA calculators and more) next to your notes in the Text Editor. Files, Calculator, Calendar, Clock, Image Viewer and Media Player are built in. The Terminal runs commands on your files and drives the desktop: play snake -f, tools flashcards, linux, windows, neofetch.
Games
The whole Re:Vault library, 1,000+ games, opens from the Games app or the terminal, each in its own window. Minesweeper, Snake, Solitaire, Sudoku, Tiles and Breakout are built in and work offline.
A real Linux computer
Linux boots Alpine in one click, with a terminal, internet access and a shared folder. Debian and a graphical desktop are available too. It all runs inside the browser, not on your device, and your machines stay in this browser.
Fast on any device
Apps load on demand, and a low power mode (automatic on smaller devices) turns off blur and animations. The desktop shell works offline once it has loaded.
Privacy and storage
Files, settings and Linux machines are stored in this browser profile (IndexedDB). They are not uploaded or synchronised. Clearing site data removes them, so download anything important.
Requirements and shortcuts
A current browser with JavaScript, IndexedDB, WebAssembly and service workers. Alt + Space opens the launcher, Ctrl + Alt + T opens Terminal. Touch layouts and reduced motion are supported.
